Nova 100’s Hughesy and Kate get on The Living End band wagon and vice versa

In effort to disallow their competitors to steal a march through TV, Nova 100’s Hughesy and Kate “Raise the Alarm” with the airing of the first of their new television commercials featuring hot Australian band The Living End.

The two distinctive commercials reflect Hughesy and Kate’s love of new music and their self deprecating style. Hughesy’s “stage diving” version aired last Sunday and Kate’s “groupie” version, which sees new anchor Ed Kavalee attempting to restrain an overzealous Kate, aired Monday. Both versions will run during prime time over the next couple of weeks.

Filmed at one of Melbourne’s iconic band venues, The Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda, Nova 100’s breakfast team – Hughesy, Kate and Ed Kavalee – spent the day filming with The Living End and Nova 100 listeners.

The concept was developed in house by Nova 100’s Programming Director Todd Campbell and was produced by one of Australian’s leading commercial producers/directors, Richard Hearman from Asylum Films.

Raise the Alarm is The Living End’s latest single from their Aria Award-winning Rock Album of The Year White Noise.
