Nova and KIIS share one third of their playlist last month

During the last four weeks, Nova100 and KIIS101 shared almost a third of their playlist, or 309 tracks according to the latest Aircheck music survey into music crossovers.

Not surprisingly the most played song on the two stations was a tie between Dean Lewis’ ‘Be Alright’ and George Ezra’s ‘Shotgun’, as both hits have reigned at the top of Aircheck’s National Radio Airplay chart in recent weeks.

The crossover between FOX and KIIS101 was a little less, sitting at just over a quarter, with Calvin Harris & Sam Smith’s ‘Promises’ spun the most for a total of 326 plays.

There was a surprising overlap between Gold 104.3 and Triple M, with 518 tracks shared during the four week period, or just over 25% of their playlist.  Dire Strait’s ‘Money For Nothing’ was highest on rotation on the two stations, heard 38 times.

Comparing Smooth FM and Gold, the crossover was slightly lower, sitting at 15.8%, or 328 tracks. Robbie Williams’ ‘Angels’ was the most played track in this case, spun 38 times.

While the overlap between Triple M and Smooth was much lower at 3.1%, there were 56 songs shared, with the most popular song INXS’ ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ receiving 32 plays.
