What a holier-than-thou attitude of Nova to take. It's a traffic offence dealt with by the most subordinate of courts. Hardly grounds for suspension.
If Ashley needed time to seek medical help, his absence is understandable but to make an example of him by suspending him is overkill.
The kill in overkill is the point. Drink driving accounts for a high percentage of deaths on our roads, not just the offender but in many cases taking out innocent drivers/bystanders.
If it was a less serious traffic offence, I might agree with the overkill comment.
But, it's also his second offence, and Nova should be applauded for taking the stand they have.
