Nova Entertainment creates new music executive position

NOVA Entertainment announced the appointment of Claire Marshall to the new position of Music Marketing Director.

Claire will be responsible for NOVA Entertainment’s music content development, leveraging music artists and events into commercial and marketing opportunities that are aligned with the network’s programming and marketing objectives.

Paul Jackson, Nova Entertainment Group Program Director said, “Claire’s extensive experience within NOVA Entertainment and unrivalled contacts in the industry made her the ideal candidate for this role. We are delighted to be able to promote within our team, it’s a great reflection of the talent we have within the company, and we can’t wait for Claire to join the team in Sydney.”

With over 18 year’s experience on air, as a Music Director and in programming, Claire has occupied the dual role of Assistant Program Director and Music Director for Nova 93.7 Perth since December 2011. 
Claire said, “NOVA Entertainment is one of the most dynamic media companies. I have lived and breathed the brand in a programming and music capacity for many years so I am very excited about this new role. I’ve been fortunate to form relationships with some incredible people in the music industry and I’m looking forward to working closely with them to create and extend on unique and mutually beneficial opportunities.”

Claire got her start in radio as the Top 40 night presenter at Triple M. In 2002 she moved to the UK and took up a role as Drive Presenter for Star 107.3. In 2003 she returned to Perth and joined the newly launched Nova 93.7 as Assistant Music Director and announcer. Claire was appointed Nova 93.7’s Music Director in 2006.

In 2008 Claire moved to Melbourne to host Drive on vega (now smoothfm 91.5) and in 2010 returned to Perth and was reappointed as Music Director. At the end of 2011 she was promoted to the dual role of Assistant Program Director and MD.

Claire will relocate to Sydney and commence as Music Marketing Director on 28 April.
