Nova’s new drive team hit the road around Australia

Nova’s new national Drive show with Meshel, Tim and Marty continued their Carlton Draught Plastic Cup Tour this afternoon, broadcasting from The Doncaster Hotel in Sydney with a performance by Sneaky Sound System. Tomorrow they will be in the Northern Territory for another live OB. So far the team has broadcast from Rundle Mall in Adelaide, and last Friday (30 September) from The Precinct in Richmond Victoria.

They head to Brisbane next Friday 14 October for a broadcast at Plough Inn.  Then they will be at the Mooney Valley Race Course in Nova’s Pure Pleasure Enclosure, on Saturday 22 October for The Carlton Draught Plastic Cup Race. 20 listeners have won spots through Meshel, Tim & Marty and Fitzy & Wippa’s shows and will go into the richest foot race with the chance to win $100,003. Last year Hughesy & Kate’s Nova entrant won the race.

Nova’s new national Drive show, based in Melbourne, is racking up the kilometres to meet listeners all over Australia. This week there are two outside broadcasts in two different states in two days.

Following today’s Sydney OB, tomorrow (Friday 7 October) the team head to Uluru to broadcast live, poolside from Sails Resort, Ayers Rock in the North Territory.

Meshel, Tim & Marty will be joined by Tourism Australia’s Dream Team including comedian Dave Thornton and Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa.  This will build on the Nova Network’s commitment to Tourism Australia’s Nothing Like Australia campaign.
