Late last year, smoothfm partnered with Sony Entertainment to offer an opportunity of a lifetime, with Human Nature performing live on a lucky winners wedding day!
The wedding was held at Macarthur Grange Country Club in Kearns, NSW on Saturday 20th April.
Ann Murphy entered the smoothfm competition as a huge fan of the group, and it was a deal breaker for her future husband Alex Matheson.
Ann told Sydney Confidential in Sunday’s Daily Telegraph “One of the first things I said to him five years ago before we were together was, I’ll only be with you if you like Human Nature – I told him he had to learn to sing one of their songs before I would go out with him, and he did”.
All 4 members of Human Nature, Phil Burton, Michael Tierney, Andrew Tierney and Toby Allen introduced the Bride and Groom into the reception, and then performed their four song set, which included hits such as Little More Love, Baby I Need Your Loving and Love Train.
Alex and Ann Matheson were over the moon to win the smoothfm competition, as Ann has been dreaming about this for a lifetime, saying “When I was little, my cousin and I had sleepovers and we would dream up all these scenarios and talk about what we wanted to happen to us when we were older. I said Human Nature would play at my wedding. Knowing it was probably never going to happen. So this is a dream come true”.
Ann will be attending their Wollongong show during their Little More Love tour, scheduled to kick off this Friday 26th April.
