Tiësto has been bouncing around the National Radio Airplay Chart since late 2020 with his global smash hit ‘The Business’. Now his latest collab – ‘Don’t Be Shy’ with Karol G – signals a new chapter for the Dutch DJ, debuting at No. 37 on the chart.
Nova, Fresh 92.7 and The Edge Sydney were the only contributors for ‘Don’t Be Shy’ this week, totalling 176 spins across all dayparts. The latter added 42 spins (23.9%), the most of any outlet in Australia.
With an official radio service, ‘Ghost’ by Justin Bieber improved by +37.1%, rising three frames to a new peak position at No. 16. While ‘Ghost’ remained steady on most playlists, Nova stepped up to the plate, doubling its spins across the national network.
Originally released more than one year ago, Jason Derulo‘s former airplay No. 1 single ‘Take You Dancing’ re-entered at No. 36 thanks to a surge of spins from the Hit Network. The main source of extra spins occurred in the Mid-Dawn, Afternoon and Evening dayparts, despite losses at Breakfast.
