Richard, Bridge and Spida’s sports club reno

Gold FM’s Breakfast team, Richard, Bridge and Spida, are ‘Giving Back’ to the Gold Coast community by renovating the Nerang Roosters Junior Rugby League Club tomorrow.

When Gold FM heard the club needed a serious reno, they recruited local businesses to jump on board to lend equipment, supplies and manpower to give the Roosters Club the attention it needed with a full day working bee.

The Nerang Roosters is home to 400 junior members who love their rugby and love their club and Gold FM is happy to be able to support a deserving club with the help it needs.

Gold FM’s Spida Everitt is excited to get started,

“I can’t wait to just get it all done! When you are an up and coming sports star nothing is better than having a club and change rooms that are the team colours! It really gives you a home ground advantage!”

Spida’s co-host Richard Fowler is proud of the Gold Coast’s community spirit,

“It’s so important to give back to the community and here at Gold FM we love getting behind the locals! Junior sporting clubs are the back bone of the community and we love to help out when we can! The number of people who have volunteered to come on board is just amazing. Everything from first aid kits, to paint, labour and equipment have been donated to the cause.”

The Gold FM Drive Show with Bianca Dye will be broadcasting live from 3pm. The renovation aims to be complete between 4pm and 5pm.
