Sammy Power to do Drive on Hot 91

Sammy Power has wasted no time in securing her future since being dumped from Mix 106.5 breakfast in Sydney just a few weeks ago. She’ll join former Big Brother housemate Pete Timbs to present the Drive show (3pm-6pm) on Hot 91 FM on the Sunshine Coast from next year.

According to the Sunshine Coast Daily, the pair are already firm friends (Sammy was the MC at Pete’s recent wedding in Noosa to his partner Camille), and Sammy said she had wanted to work with him for several years.

Sammy told the paper, “He’s such a metrosexual chauvinist; I’m not a raving feminist but he drives me mad. Just from sitting around a table together, we knew we could do it.”

The duo replaces Nugget and Hayley on the drive shift, after Hayley Pearson was poached by Melbourne’s Nova 100.

Nathan “Nugget” Dell is expected to be back on air next year on Hot 91 in a new time-slot, to be confirmed.
