Some big programming changes are on the way in the West, with SCA confirming that from 20 January 2025, Pete & Kymba, the Mix94.5 Breakfast show, will be heard across the Hit Network throughout regional WA. That means that the network’s regional WA Breakfast show of Allan & Carly (main photo) will finish at the end of this year.
SCA said that Allan Aldworth, recently a father, had already made the decision to resign from the show.
SCA says the Hit Network wishes Allan and his family all the very best.
His on-air partner Carly Portch will move to the Triple M network with two new Breakfast shows across regional WA. They will be Triple M Breakfast with Michael Ross and Angie Ayers and Triple M Breakfast with Robbie Von and Carly Portch. Cliff Reeve will retire from radio and Triple M after 48 years in the former and three decades in the latter.
SCA said:
“Triple M acknowledges and thanks Cliff for his extensive contribution to the network and congratulates him on his amazing radio career.”
The new Triple M shows will commence on January 13 2025 committing to continue to present local shows from each WA regional Triple M station across the Workday. SCA’s Esperance office will remain operational. Steven Ozanne on-air in Esperance will relocate, but continue to provide a local show.
SCA also farewells Ian Kennedy, Executive General Manager – Western Australia, who is leaving the company.
An SCA spokesperson said:
“Ian joined SCA five years ago when SCA acquired Redwave Media. Since that time, Ian has been a central pillar of SCA’s Senior General Management Team. For 18 years prior to that, Ian served in leadership positions at Redwave.”
Since Ian joined the business, SCA has become a dominant force in regional Western Australian media. SCA sincerely thanks Ian for his innumerable contributions.
Following Ian’s departure, Rob Iannazzo has been appointed to the role of Executive General Manager – Western Australia in addition to his existing remit of Adelaide. In his new position, Rob will leverage his extensive audio sales experience to drive the strategic direction of all Western Australian markets, including Perth. He will be supported by Remi Barley who has been promoted to the role of General Manager and Head of Sales – WA Regional.”
