Sean Ryan’s office has been covered top to bottom with newspaper by the staff at Nova Brisbane. 

This photo, taken by our radioinfo spies inside the station, shows what Sean came in to when he entered his office this morning.

The outgoing station manager of DMG’s Brisbane operations was voted most popular manager several times at the ACRAs. 

He has led Nova to highly successful ratings in the Brisbane market over the last few years and has been poached by News Ltd to be their Queensland state manager. Sean has held the GM role at dmg Brisbane since the 2004 launch of Brisbane’s first Nova station, Nova 106.9. With Sean at the helm, the station debuted second in its first ever Brisbane ratings cycle. 

Sean will take up responsibility for all News Corp’s Queensland businesses, excluding editorial. His remit includes Qld Newspapers, regional community papers, online businesses and standalone digital interests, as well as the state operational requirements for News’ national brands such as Fox Sports and the company’s premium magazines.
