7HOFM’s $10,000 School of the Year is back for 2025, giving back to where it matters most with additional school funding to assist in school inspiration, community and education.
Nominations are open now until August 24 with 7HOFM giving local schools the chance to win a $10K to put towards whatever their school needs most; whether it’s a brand-new basketball court, upgraded musical instruments, sports gear, or something totally unique.
To be in the running, schools simply need to nominate and share how they would use the money. The more creative and passionate the idea and celebration of school spirit, the better!
Ways to get involved include:
• Posters around the school
• Mentions in school newsletters
• Tagging @7HOFM on social media, and
• Getting students, staff, and the whole school community involved
During the voting period, 7HOFM’s Sarah, Mick & Johnno will be visiting the most enthusiastic schools to film short celebration videos featuring students, teachers and the principal. This is your school’s chance to make a real difference and have some fun along the way.
Key Dates:
• Nominations close: Sunday 24th August at 11:59PM AEST
• Voting opens: Monday 25th August – one vote per day, per person
• Winner revealed to the principal: Friday 12th September
• Live winner announcement at school assembly: Monday 15th September
