smoothfm will partner with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead’s biggest fundraising event, Radiothon, for a third consecutive year on Friday 18 October.
 
In its seventh year, Radiothon celebrates the generous work that happens behind the scenes at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The event allows the hospital to give back to their internal community with the aim to hit $4 million in donations this year.
 
The smoothfm More Music Breakfast Show, with Bogart Torelli and Glenn Daniel, kicked off smoothfm’s support of Radiothon this week.
 
Head of Programming for smoothfm, Peter Clay, says, “Most of our listeners have come into contact with The Westmead  Children’s Hospital throughout  their  lives so we know  the importance of supporting such a worthwhile cause. We hope our support  and the donations  from our generous listeners raise well deserved funds for the Westmead Children’s Hospital Radiothon.”
 

 
 

Bogart and Glenn will join the Children’s Hospital at Westmead team for the official Radiothon media launch today, then on Friday smoothfm will cross to the hospital during the Radiothon and provide donation tally updates each hour for listeners.
 
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead will transform with special guests from the School of Rock Musical performing on stage to entertain patients and staff on Friday and smooth angels will provide free mini manicures, and activities including face painting and make your own Hollywood Star for the kids and families to enjoy.
 
smoothfm’s commitment to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead Radiothon was recognised at last year’s ACRA’s, winning the Best Community Service Project award.
