Sophie Monk joins the X Studio

THE X STUDIO has announced the Sophie Monk will be the new face of the company – hosting celebrity events in entertainment venue X54 and presenting new content and exclusive interviews on THE XCAST in 2015.

Monk, who just left 2Day breakfast, has already carved out a diverse career in the spotlight, finding success as a singer, actress, model, and radio host and now she has her sights set on taking THE X STUDIO to the next level.

Next year she will host the hottest celebrity events at X54 and give audiences exclusive access to their favourite international and homegrown celebrities, bands and artists as a presenter on social broadcast site THE XCAST.

Founder and creator of THE X STUDIO, Ron Creevey, said Monk’s bright, fresh and uncensored personality makes her perfect for the in-house presenting role for THE XCAST:

“Sophie is truly one of Australia’s most loved talents, her straight up and honest approach to everything she does, coupled with her natural ability to entertain, has seen her build an impressive media career. We have exciting plans for THE X STUDIO in 2015 and I’m so pleased to have Sophie on board as we welcome some of the world’s biggest names to Australia’s new luxury home of broadcast, music and entertainment.”

A world-class creative space to perform, film, record and broadcast, 2015 is going to see THE X STUDIO usher in a new era for entertainment and luxury, welcoming producers, content creators, and local and international artists to the heart of Sydney, all with the aim to resurrect Kings Cross as a true entertainment hub.

In addition to the venue, social broadcast site THE XCAST puts THE X STUDIO on the global stage. Like a cross between YouTube and Twitter, THE XCAST broadcasts content produced in the studio specifically created for the social media channel. This will include exclusive interviews with local and international musicians, bands, actors and celebrities who stop by THE X STUDIO to be part of Sophie’s THE XCAST broadcasts.

Monk says she is thrilled the next step in her media career would be at THE X STUDIO’s world-class creative space: “One of my favourite things about working in radio is meeting and speaking with the entertainment industry’s brightest stars. I love that I’ll now be able to do this at the hottest, most glamorous studio in Australia, plus be able to present to a global audience via THE XCAST.”

Guy Sebastian was the first artist in the world to have his X54 performance streamed live using THE XCAST. His special November performance launched both his new album and the X54 venue and was broadcast using THE XCAST out to social media networks like Facebook and Twitter, so anyone, anywhere, could catch his set and see the celebrations at THE X STUDIO for themselves via the website.
