Maquarie Media has announced two new roles for members of their Sydney team.
radioinfo recently reported 2UE morning host Stuart Bocking was moving to 2GB, it’s now been confirmed he will be taking over as the new Executive Producer of the Ray Hadley Morning Show.
Stuart had just the one week off in preparation for his new role which started today.
Meantime Ray Hadley’s former EP Michael Thompson will be moving into the new role of National Executive Producer after six years with the Morning Show.
“Michael will start to evolve his existing role into new responsibilities,” says Chief Operating Officer Adam Lang.
His first national project will be the launch of 2UE 954 as Lifestyle Radio on 1 September 2016 and that will commence full time next week. In the meantime, Michael will spend this week handing over his existing Executive Producer responsibilities.
Also as reported in the roster reshuffle Luke Bona has left the 2UE’s networked show Australia Overnight and is temporarily filling in on 2UE mornings.
Listeners had expressed their surprise about the move on air and on facebook and also asked about Bocking, John Deeks and what Bona was doing after his time on mornings.
Bocking’s most likely successor in Mornings is tipped to be current Afternoon announcer Tim Webster.
