Thanks a bunch, now over to Clairsy, Shane and Kymba

This is the last week that Perth breakfast listeners will spend with The Bunch.

Over the last 21 years, mix94.5‟s The Bunch has been Perth‟s favourite breakfast show but now, Clairsy, Shane and Kymba are getting ready to set their alarms after swapping shifts with the breakfast team, as we reported last month.

After working in Drive since 2006, Dean Clairs said it does feel a bit like starting again, but is absolutely pumped for the first show. “My first radio gig was breakfast at 6MD in Merredin when I was 17 so it‟s a bit of a spin out to be doing it again 30 years on! I just hope we have more than 11 farmers listening!”

Clairsy, Shane and Kymba will keep their listeners in the know with what‟s on, deliver the sport that matters and discuss the issues that Perth people want to hear. Captain Paul will be there too, giving the most up to date and trusted traffic reports.

“All it will take is for Shane and I to exchange that knowing wink as we‟ve done for a decade, and we‟ll be away! Looking forward to seeing Kymba and her 5am hair too (may never say that again),” said Clairsy.

With the trio moving to breakfast, Fred Botica and Lisa Shaw from The Bunch will become mix94.5‟s new Drive show in 2014. Fred is taking leave until March and in the interim Lisa will stick around to host Drive with workday announcer, Tim Lordan between 4pm-7pm.

The show will cover everything from the big news topics of the day and issues affecting Perth people; right through to celebrity interviews with touring bands, artists, actors – any big names they can drag into the studio.

Lisa Shaw said after years of getting up with their listeners, she‟s now looking forward to seeing them home. “It‟s going to be a chance to try some new things and connect with some different people, plus it‟ll be fun hanging out with Tim until Fred gets back from his holidays. Bring on 2014; it‟s going to be a good one!”

From next Monday Oct 28th, Clairsy, Shane and Kymba will kick off their first week in breakfast giving their listeners a chance to score $25,000 with their Wake up Call.

But for this week Perth is saying Thanks a Bunch to the Bunch as they finish thier final week of breakfast shows.
