Timi Arnott has passed away – far too young

Timi Arnott a passionate radio talent who had worked at a number of stations around Australia, passed away suddenly on Monday 7th October as a result of an epileptic fit.

Timi who is believed to have been just 23 years of age had worked at Hot FM and Sea FM in Cairns; at Prime Radio as a Promotions Co-ordinator; Max FM in Taree as Promotions Manager and Announcer: at The River in Albury as Promotions Manager.

At the time of his death he was in Melbourne where he had set up his own successful PR company, STALKER. He was also working as producer for The Pash on Melbourne narrowcaster Kiss FM.

Long time friend and colleague, Sarah Maree Cameron has been “all over the shop” since hearing the news of Timi’s death. “I used to mentor Timi when he was working casually at Hot FM and Sea FM Cairns while I was at Star FM Warragul (2008). Then we ended up working together. We he did his Swinburne placement in 2009 at Hot 100 and Mix in Darwin. In 2010 I was based out of Albury doing Truck Radio when he joined the team in Promotions on The River side.”

Timi’s funeral will be held in Cairns, with a memorial service possibly to be held in Melbourne as well.
