Triple M Bundy spreads festive cheer with mammoth week of Christmas celebrations

In the lead-up to Christmas, Triple M Bundy 93.1 has been spreading festive cheer with a week packed full of celebrations and community-driven events.

It all kicked off on Thursday, December 5, when Triple M Bundaberg took centre stage at the annual Pageant of Lights Parade down Bourbong Street.

With over 10,000 residents lining the streets, the Triple M float proved a crowd favourite.

The occasion helped to mark the official switching on of Bundaberg’s Christmas lights.

Friday, December 6 saw the return of the Christmas Crusade, with Triple M’s Jacob and El for Breakfast broadcasting live from Toyworld. The annual toy drive and fundraiser encourages listeners to make a meaningful difference for local children and families in need.

All proceeds and toys collected were donated to The Angels Community Support Group, ensuring they reach families doing it tough this Christmas.

Special guests joining the Christmas Crusade included Bundaberg Mayor Helen Blackburn, Stephen Bennett MP, Tom Smith MP and Re/max Real Estate representative and Queensland State of Origin mentor Scott Mackey.

After weeks of community donations, Triple M Bundaberg announced a final tally of more than $15,000 in cash and toy donations, a result which will assist countless local families this holiday season, providing them with presents to put under the tree and highlighting the unique power of radio.
