Trple M rocks Test Cricket

Triple M has confirmed an “all-star broadcasting lineup” for what will be the first cricket commentary of its kind on Australian FM radio.

Kerry O’Keeffe, Australia’s much-loved voice of summer, headlines the Triple M cricket commentary team for the 2016/2017 season. He will be joined by Triple M’s James Brayshaw, Sky Sports UK cricket expert and former England women’s cricket legend, Isa Guha, former Australian cricketers Michael SlaterBrett LeeBrad Haddin, and Merv Hughes and former Victorian/SA cricketer and coach Darren Berry.

“A new era in Australian cricket is at hand and I’m just so excited to be part of the Triple M coverage of our potential climb back to the top! Radio test cricket is my great passion and my enthusiasm for it has been re-ignited with Triple M,” O’Keeffe said.

Added to the fray will be Australian ‘sporting hero’ H.G Nelson, Triple M funny guys Jules Schiller and Lawrence Mooney and Sydney Grill Team co-host Gus Worland. Cricket reporter Neroli Meadows will also join the commentary team.

Triple M Head of Content Mike Fitzpatrick said, “It’s the first time cricket will be heard on radio in crystal clear stereo, not drowned out by the fuzz and interference from powerlines and buildings. In all seriousness, we can’t wait to hear this lineup together on FM. It’s very exciting.”

Triple M’s cricket commentary team will pad up for the first time on December 15 for the first Test Match of Australia’s series against Pakistan at the Gabba in Brisbane. This will be followed by the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne and the Sydney Test on January 3.

Special guests to join Triple M over the summer will be announced.

Listeners of Triple M stations in the capital cities will be able to tune in for the Commonwealth Bank Test Series against Pakistan from 15 December to hear the first Test from Brisbane and from 26 December in regional Queensland, NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia to hear the Boxing Day Test.
