The voice of Gippsland racing, Peter Eustace, died on Friday March 15.
Although his name and voice was associated with tens of thousands of greyhound races over more than 50 years behind the microphone, Peter was a more than capable caller of all codes.
He served as commentator for many Warragul night meetings and at Traralgon where he called the first trotting program there in 1975.
He will be remembered also for the famous triple dead heat at Stony Creek gallops in 1987.
Peter tirelessly promoted all codes of local racing in print and on air for decades and was also an announcer with ABC Radio Gippsland as a newsreader, producer and presenter and radio 3TR in Sale.
Eustace was inducted into the GRV Hall of Fame in 2013.
