Winter has come to the SA Country Hour

ABC Rural has announced that Caroline Winter will present SA Country Hour, Australia’s longest running radio program. 

Born in Glasgow and raised in Perth Caroline’s career has come full circle, starting out as a program presenter with ABC Local Radio in regional WA 12 years ago.

“I loved regional radio back then and knew it was a role I’d always want to return to. So after many years working in radio and TV news and current affairs for commercial stations and the ABC, I couldn’t be more excited about joining the SA Country Hour team”.

“I hope I can bring my experience as a news Journalist to the Country Hour and look forward to learning from the many people I’ll be fortunate to meet on this new adventure, while immersing myself in rural and regional issues and communities”.

Caroline to rural South Australia with a harvest tour through the state’s wheat belt.

“We know it’s been a hard time for farmers, from what started out for most as a bumper grain season” said Winter.

‘I’m really looking forward to meeting with them face-to-face and even spending some time in a header”.
