Byron Cooke kicks off on Saudi radio alongside some other Aussie expats

Former KIIS 101.1 workday’s presenter Byron Cooke has commenced on Saudi Arabian station MBC Loud FM breakfast with his co-host Sana K, joining a couple of other Aussies in the new weekday programming.

The Byron Cooke Show with Sana K will provide ‘”Made for Saudi” entertainment and vibes, the latest news, sports updates, traffic reports, and “the juiciest showbiz gossip during “Sana Spills“‘. Interestingly Saudi weekdays run from Sunday to Thursday, and Cook’s show from 6-10 am those days.

MBC LOUD FM is Saudi Arabia’s first English commercial radio station and alongside Cooke and US star Ryan Seacrest who hosts mornings and evenings were a couple of other familiar faces and voices.

From 1-4pm, after Seacrest, it’s Non-Stop Hits with Harry. That’s Andrew ‘Harry’ Harrison pictured above who started out with community stations FBi Radio and Alive 90.5 in Sydney before training at AFTRS and then working for SCA. He spent 5 years in Dubai on air before coming back to SCA and then taking on a breakfast co-hosting role in the Hunter Valley for ARN. He returned to the Middle East in October 2021 and joined MBC earlier this year.

And doing a weeknight sports show with Jay R is Alex Agishev. Agishev is also Head of MBC Loud FM. He had been working in Dubai for nearly a decade before this role as content director at the Arabian Radio Network’s Virgin Radio Dubai but will be familiar to Australians as Alex Dean, working for ARN, SCA, dmg and AFTRS.
