CrowFM 90.7 will celebrate its 30th birthday this Saturday October 18 with live music, giveaways, food and plenty of fun from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

CrowFM is a community station which serves the South Burnett Region of Queensland and broadcasts live and locally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It originated as 4CSB and was incorporated in 1995 as a not-for-profit after a commercial station shifted to Toowoomba and the community sought local radio alternative.

Public meetings were held at the time to discuss the formation of a committee to apply for a community broadcasting licence. Revenue from sponsorship, grants and fundraising is reinvested into station operations rather than generating profits for shareholders.

Saturday’s celebrations are an opportunity for the local community to celebrate everything CROW-FM has achieved over the past 30 years, enjoy live music, a garage sale, BBQ and win great prizes.

There’ll be activities happening in and around the station building on the corner of the Bunya Highway and Haly Street, Wondai.
