We’re looking for a Breakfast Coordinator to join our Breakfast team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is curious, organised and creative.

What you’ll be doing
Working alongside our Breakfast Announcer, you’ll help bring the show to life each morning by:
- Researching stories, local events and trending topics to help shape the daily show.
- Brainstorming content ideas, games and audience interactions.
- Preparing guests, interviews and competitions so everything runs smoothly.
- Supporting the live broadcast by operating studio systems and assisting throughout the show.
- Keeping an eye on breaking news, local happenings and social media while the show is on air.
- Capturing the best moments from the show and turning them into content for social media and digital platforms.
- Helping manage listener interaction across calls, messages, competitions and online channels.
- Working with our programming, promotions and wider station team to deliver engaging content and campaigns.
- Looking for ways to make each show even better by bringing fresh ideas and a local perspective.
Essential
- You’re organised and enjoy juggling different tasks.
- You’re naturally curious and always noticing what’s happening around you.
- You enjoy writing, creating content or coming up with ideas.
- You’re confident using social media and understand what makes content engaging.
- You stay calm when things change quickly and enjoy solving problems.
- You’re happy working as part of a close-knit team and pitching in wherever needed.
Nice to have
- Experience creating content for social media.
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Photoshop or simple video-editing tools.
- Exposure to radio, podcasting, audio production or broadcast systems.
Limited radio experience? That’s okay. If you’re enthusiastic, eager to learn and ready to get involved, we’ll teach you the rest.
