The ABC is on the verge of implementing a historic restructure of its news operation that will integrate television, radio and online news into one centrally controlled super-newsdesk, reports The Australian. The public broadcaster will advertise for a newly created "head of news-gathering" who will control the daily news agenda and allocation of resources across radio and television news programs, News Online and ABC News 24.
