ARIA Award winner outback NSW music teacher claims victory in a dress designed by students

A music teacher from Wilcannia, 950 km north-west of Sydney has won an ARIA award. Sarah Donnelley was nominated for her rendition of a beloved Australian song that told the story of COVID-19 in Wilcannia. With students being forced to move to home learning during COVID-19 lockdown, the children and teachers in Wilcannia had to adapt to more challenges than most… "We were presenting our lessons via the radio station (Wilcannia River Radio) and then delivering the resources to the kids and the families. One day we decided to film that delivery," she said.
