Andi Brotherston said she and the pair’s 20-year-old son found the Newstalk ZB sports broadcaster unconscious on Monday night.
“So many families don’t get that second chance we do here, and we were so lucky. If it had been another five or ten minutes it would have been quite a different outcome,” she told Stuff before she was about to visit Devlin at Auckland Hospital.
“He’s in terrible shape,” she said.
