Caught at FIVEaa for 25 years

Recognising the importance of behind the scenes staff in station success, FIVEaa is celebrating program producer, Tammii Caught’s 25 years with the Adelaide talk station.

She began at FIVEaa in July 1994 and the first program Tammii worked on at FIVEaa was the Psychic Saturday night show. 

When Tammii started at FIVEaa, the on-air line up featured Bazz & Pilko, Ken Dicken & Sonya Feldhoff, Ken Cunningham & David Hookes as well as the legendary Bob Francis.

FIVEaa's Radiothon for Variety is on this Friday

For a fifth consecutive year, FIVEaa are proud to be holding Radiothon for Variety, the Children's Charity of South Australia, tomorrow, Friday 31st May.

From 7am until 6pm, the FIVEaa announcers will be working towards raising much needed funds for South Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs.

Ken Hinkley joins SEN SA

Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley, unbeaten in 2019, has joined 1629 SEN SA, and will be heard weekly on the station alongside Kane Cornes and Andrew Hayes every Tuesday on Breakfast.

Hinkley joins Port Adelaide’s star player and human highlight reel, Robbie Gray, as well as Adelaide Crows Vice Captain Josh Jenkins, as regular guests on the program.

The iconic partnership of Ken ‘KG’ Cunningham and Graham ‘Cornesy’ Cornes will return to FIVEaa on the Saturday Sports Show from 9am tomorrow.
 
KG moved to FIVEaa in 1991, teaming initially with David Hookes  for the KG and Hookesy’s Sports Show, 1991–1994 and then with Graham Cornes 1995–2008.

On the breakfast program this morning, Will Goodings told listeners: “There is one name that has been at the trembling lip of every politician in this state for two decades.

Warren Tredrea changes sides for the 2019 season

Triple M footy commentator Warren “Tredders” Tredrea has switched stations to FIVEaa and will join their football line up in 2019.

The former Port Adelaide premiership captain will not only be calling games for FIVEaa Football during the upcoming AFL season but will also be joining their Sports Show with Rowey & Bicks for a weekly segment along with other projects on the station.

Anne Stone marched out of FIVEaa

Adelaide award-winning newsreader, Anne Stone, has described her dismissal from FIVEaa as "brutal."
 
According to the Adelaide Advertiser, Anne was axed after 19 years and marched out of the building last Friday without a chance to say goodbye to colleagues or listeners. She was most senior of four journalists in the Adelaide newsroom.
 

Dave & Will's mountain of undies

FIVEaa’s Undie Drive culminated this morning with David Penberthy and Will Goodings broadcasting live from Adelaide's Victoria Park.

David & Will encouraged listeners to donate to their drive’s final day when they were out and about, with all donations being passed onto the Hutt St Centre and Catherine House.
 
Members of the FIVEaa family were at other donation locations across Adelaide, on Port Road and Kurralta Central Shopping Centre.
