There was a great deal of interest in Barry Keohane's survey-eve story about how he found himself the recipient of an actual GfK diary.

New Zealand radio has been in a state of flux recently, with a number of major changes from relaunches and shows being shuffled around left, right and centre. Some of the decisions have worked in station's favour, and some may need a rethink according to the latest New Zealand radio ratings.

Nationally, Mediaworks has increased it's share of the market, rising 3.2% to dominate at 49.1%. NZME has dropped 2.9% to land at 40.6%. NewsTalkZB is on 12.2% and Coast and Edge both came in at 8.5%.

In Wellington:

FM104.7 is on top in a steady Canberra survey, with little significant movement.

FM 104.7 scored 17.3%, down 0.2 share points. Mix 106.3 retained second place with a gain of 0.9 to 16.8%, just ahead of third placed ABC666, up 0.8 to 16.4%.

Fourth placed triple j lost 0.3 share points, scoring 10.0%, followed by ABC Classic FM, down 2 share points to 8.2%. Radio National was up 0.7 to 7.6%.

2CC gained 0.4 to score 7.0%, followed by sister station 2CA, down 0.6 to 6.1%. NewsRadio was down 0.2 to 3.3%.

104.7 Canberra has delivered the 26^th annual Skyfire to 120 000 Canberra residents, almost a third of its potential audience.  
 
Scotty and Nige broadcast live from the main stage of the event which included a fly-by from an RAAF Hornet, more than 2000 aerial fireworks and 10,000 shooting comets over Lake Burley Griffin.

In the history of Australian radio, only  John Laws and Alan Jones have been able to take an audience with them from one station to another. But neither of them have moved so much of their audience in just one survey like Kyle and Jackie O just have.
