Well Howzat! It is now official FRN has the greatest team of “Spinners” of all time. Capably lead by Lang, Forbes, Randall, Parker, Frangi and Co. Unfortunately whilst the “spin” sounds great it has failed to penetrate with 2013 performances below par on 2012. What the FRN team lacks is anyone who has the ability to play with a “straight bat”. Strangely enough virtually all those who played with a straight bat have all been dropped from the side with no serious questions being asked?
It’s about time the Fairfax selectors took a long hard look at the FRN side’s current top order as it is continuing to fail and the “spin” attack will only get them so far. The bottom order cannot continue to bare the blunt of the poor performance.
The scoreboard does not lie and it’s about time the top order produced the goods and put some serious runs on the board and cut back on the transparent and inept “spin” attack. Maybe they need to do a “Graham Swann”?
