​Kate Dundas to depart ABC Radio helm

Director of Radio for the ABC Kate Dundas has resigned after five years in the top role.

She said in statement, “While a difficult decision to reach, I feel it is absolutely the right time for me to hand over the stewardship of what is obviously my favourite part of the ABC.”

In her five years with the ABC Dundas has presided over an audience surge for the public broadcaster taking it’s Radio division’s combined audience share from 21.2 per cent and combined reach of 3.815 million in 2008 to a combined share of 24.6 per cent and a combined reach of 4.654 million by the Survey 8 of last year.

The Australian reports that: Dundas will take up a scholarship with the Vincent Fairfax Fellowship through the Centre for Ethical Leadership at the University of Melbourne while considering her next professional move.
