104.7 Canberra has delivered the 26th annual Skyfire to 120 000 Canberra residents, almost a third of its potential audience.
Scotty and Nige broadcast live from the main stage of the event which included a fly-by from an RAAF Hornet, more than 2000 aerial fireworks and 10,000 shooting comets over Lake Burley Griffin.
The event is a great start to the year for the station as it will almost certainly be looking to grab back some of the audience share it lost to Triple J in the last survey period. It’s no surprise then, that Content Director Mark Wiggett anticipates the people of Canberra can look forward to an “even bigger” Skyfire in 2015.
