It’s not quite the ACRAs and perhaps not as prestigious as the Cosmo award (see other story), but it is recognition none the less. A range of radio ‘babes’ are currently in the running for this year’s Zoo Magazine Hottie of the Year Award, in the radio category. They include Kate Ritchie, Fifi Box, Amanda Keller, Mieke Buchan, Jo Stanley and Nova 100’s Dylan Lewis.
Dylan Lewis? But he’s a bloke, you say. Not entirely, according to Dylan who also fancies himself as a bit of a hottie, and has entered with one of the more provocative poses in the competition. His picture on the Zoo website (see below) bears the disclaimer, “not actually female.”
The award was last year won by Queensland Triple M presenter Emily Jade O’Keeffe. Over 150 radio babes were nominated for this year’s title, with Zoo Weekly whittling the hot
list down to 26, listed below. Last year over 12,000 votes were cast by avid Zoo Weekly readers.
Now in its fourth year, the Award celebrates “the sizzling female DJs
who set pulses racing and the airwaves trembling.”
Zoo Weekly editor Paul Merrill says:
“The 26 foxes in the running for the Zoo Weekly Award help Aussie men rise in the morning
and drive us wild on the commute home.”
