2GB and 2CH have been added to the iHeartRadio Australia platform

ARN has announced Macquarie Media Limited’s 2GB and Magic 2CH stations have been added to the iHeartRadio Australia platform.

Listeners can now enjoy 2GB and The Songs You Know and Love on Magic 2CH anywhere, anytime with iHeartRadio.

From today, 2GB’s full station program including The Alan Jones Breakfast Show and The Ray Hadley Morning Show as well as The Chris Smith Show, Sydney Live with Ben Fordham, Ross Greenwood and Steve Price are streaming live on iHeartRadio Australia.

Listeners can also tune in to hear The Songs You Know and Love on Magic 2CH with Gareth McCray at Breakfast, Bob Rogers and Johnny Young.

The new agreement means the full stable of Macquarie Media Limited stations are now available on iHeartRadio following the 2014 addition of news and talkback stations 2UE (Sydney), 3AW (Melbourne), 4BC (Brisbane) and 6PR (Perth) and digital station NTS, along with music and entertainment stations Magic 1278 (Melbourne) and Magic 882 (Brisbane).

Head of iHeartRadio Australia Geraint Davies said: “It’s great to have 2GB and Magic 2CH on board so we now have the entire Macquarie Media network available on the iHeartRadio Australia platform. All the other stations have been performing really well, with mobile streaming hours to the existing Macquarie stations doubling so far this year. The addition of these two mighty and well-loved stations should see that number double again.”

Meantime, as reported by radioinfo yesterday September has rolled around and Macquarie Media has less than a month to finalise its required sale of 2CH.

Macquarie Media had been given a 6-month extension on the sale process from regulator ACMA which is required because they currently own three stations in the Sydney market, which is one more than is allowed in the two to a market rule.
