Community station 2RRR and presenter Brian Crabbe will have two Christmas specials as part of his program There Goes That Song Again.
Firstly there will be a Col Joye special on 2RRR this Wednesday December 18 at 11am, repeated Friday the 20th at 3pm and heard across the Community Radio Network (CRN) on Christmas Day. Col (main picture on the left with Brian) is a pioneering Australian singer, songwriter, musician and entrepreneur with a string of hits in the 50s and 60s and later success with his brother Kevin Jacobsen working in entertainment management, publishing and recording. He will also play songs from his 2005 Christmas CD.
On Christmas Day, on 2RRR, Brian will also have a Perry Como special. Perry was long associated with Christmas television programs in the United States. In the 1990s and early 2000s, Perrys friend, American radio presenter Johnny Knox, produced a regular syndicated program featuring Perry, included of course a number of these Christmas specials. Brian and 2RRR have exclusive permission to broadcast these in Australia on Christmas Day.
You can listen, if you are in the Ryde area, to 2RRR on 88.5 FM, or stream via this link.
