2UE chooses Avaya/PhoneBOX talkback system

2UE has chosen a new Avaya caller
management system for its talk-back system in its new studios.

The system integrates Avaya’s IP Office with Broadcast Bionic’s PhoneBOX, a broadcast call-handling system developed specifically for radio and television stations.

Details of callers are displayed onscreen and databases allow reporting and recall of caller history.

When a caller is likely to be on-hold for an extended period, the producer
can use a ‘call back’ feature which captures the caller’s details and allows the studio to call back later. PhoneBOX retains their call details on screen throughout
the process.

Avaya IP Office is a converged voice and data system and Broadcast
Bionic’s PhoneBOX delivers functions of use to the radio station and its callers.
