Following last week’s suspension from trading, the official announcement to the Stock Exchange said, “The Directors of Data & Commerce Limited (DCL) have resolved to offer the radio broadcasting license 3AK for sale”. It is intended the sale process be carried
out over a 3 month period which includes a two month marketing and sale period followed by a one month settlement/ shareholder approval period”.

In summary, the announcement goes on to admit what everybody has known for some time, that operating costs are high and revenue is low and therefore the business is unsustainable – at least in DCL’s hands. Its time to give someone else a go and maybe that someone will pay enough to get DCL out of debt.
