4TO FM and Queensland Police slow right down

Townsville’s 4TO FM has joined forces with the Queensland
Police to help break the speed barrier and see a reduction
in the devastating road toll in that state.

On weekdays at 8:30am, breakfast presenter Pricey will speak with local police and name locations of
where the speed reduction area’s (ie. Radar Traps will be targeted that day.

The intent of the initiative is to highlight the various camera locations in a direct re-enforcement to motorists of a very simple message, ‘if you speed, you will get caught’.

4TO FM Program Director John Inglis told radioinfo: “This is certainly a breakthrough for
a radio station to have such an arrangement with the local Police. 4TO FM isproud to be involved in this initiative and anything we can do to help reduce the road toll shall be done”.

4TO FM’s speed camera location updates began on air last Friday just in
time for the Australia Day long weekend.
