8 women, 8 days and 1 winner in 7HOs Little Sister competition

Modelled off the TV show Big Brother, 7HO FM in Tasmania is running it’s very own ‘Little Sister’ competition involving female only housemates. This “living in a fishbowl” social experiment started on Friday and before the ladies unpacked there was already an eviction and another housemate, the only Grandmother in the house, walked out at 4am Sunday morning.

There are now just 5 left living in an empty shop at Northgate Shopping Centre Glenorchy. The competition winner will take home $3000 cash.

Today, the house mastes challenge will be to enter the track and run the main straight at the Elwick Racecourse as a curtain raiser to the running of this year’s Melbourne Cup.

7HO FM is streaming the whole show live with 2 webcams in the house and live broadcasts from breakfast, mornings, and their local drive show all week.

7HO FM content director Ross Turner said: “Gotta thank Jason Matthews for the idea, as he did this about 10 years ago in Gosford. Quite a few things have changed since then with OHS and PC issues being higher on the radar now, so it’s challenge to make the housemates as safe, yet uncomfortable as possible. Yes, we are seeing a few cracks starting to appear in all of them. Just 4 days in and, our web hits have increased by 2000% and facebook fans have grown by 1000 in a just the last week, so we are really enjoying the online interaction and involvement from our listeners with this one.”
