92.7 Mix FM still the leader on the Sunshine Coast – Xtra Insights

In the first Xtra Insights survey of the Queensland Sunshine Coast in 12 months, 92.7 MIX FM is still the No 1 station, with sister station (now both owned by Great Southern Land Media Group) 91.9 SEA FM gaining ground in breakfast.

For all listeners 10+ MIX was up 0.3 to 16.2, SEA FM down 0.8 to 13.0 with Hot 91.1 sneaking into third (up 0.5 to 12.6) above triple j (down 0.4 to 12.1). The biggest drop was by ABC Sunshine Coast, who were down 1.9 to 6.1, and down in all day parts.

MIX FM’s Mark and Caroline in breakfast (16.3, down 0.7) were just ahead of SEA FM’s Juelz and Seamus (up 0.2 to 15.3) with Hot 91 taking over triple j in third.

Rod Brice, Group Content Director – 91.9 SEA FM and 92.7 MIX FM said of the results:

“I’m so pleased and proud to be leading such professional teams, a great effort by everyone at 91.9 SEA FM and 92.7 MIX FM. Fantastic to see them both strengthen their grip on the Under 40 and Over 40 markets right across the Sunshine Coast.”

Ben Erbsland, 91.9 SEA FM Content Director said:

“I’m very proud of the team, a huge result! We’ve achieved all our targets we set out to get. With a new breakfast show in play over the past 6 months I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.”

There were cumulative gains for Hot and MIX, with SEA FM, ABC Sunshine Coast and particularly triple j (down 6200 cume audience 10+) seeing losses.
