97.3 Coast FM’s Paul Voight calls time-out on Mandurah

97.3 Coast FM announcer and 91.7 The Wave Music Director Paul Voight has called a time-out on his radio show, pivoting to a media and communications position with NBL1 West basketball club Rockingham Flames.

Voight announced to listeners on his top-rating Coast Drive show that Friday February 13 will be his last day on-air.

Coincidently, February 13 also marks 9 years to the day that Paul started with 97.3 Coast FM.

“It’s been such a privilege being a born and bred West Aussie providing not only a voice for local content on Coast Drive but also a uniquely WA flavour of music for 91.7 The Wave that really resonated with listeners. I’ve had so much fun on this journey and there’s some wonderful people

I’ve worked with across the country that have made it really special,” Voight said.

West Coast Radio Group Content Director, Broadcast & Digital, Nick Morgan, said “Paul has been an invaluable member of our team for 9 years and we are incredibly grateful for his work. Paul helped with the inception of 91.7 The Wave and was its inaugural music director. Paul’s passion and professionalism has been an inspiration to many at West Coast Radio.”

Paul will still be heard on 97.3 Coast FM from time to time in a casual capacity.

His replacement will be announced soon.
