98five’s Breakfast duo Kirste and Morro are off to Nepal to restore sight

98five’s Brekky show will broadcast live from Biratnagar in Nepal on Thursday 27th August as part of CBM’s Miracles Day.
 
Kirste and Morro will be sharing the trials and tribulations of cataract suffers in one of the world’s poorest countries, which is still recovering from April’s catastrophic 7.8 magnitude earthquake that claimed that lives of 8,857 people.
 
They’ll also get to experience the joy of seeing many patients have their sight restored with a simple cataract removal procedure, and encourage listeners to donate only $32 to CBM to help give each patient their sight back.
 
Kirstie and Morro broke the news this morning to 98five’s breakfast listeners.
 
CBM’s Director of Fundraising Heath McSolvin says it’s great to have them on board.
 
“CBM Australia are so thrilled to be partnering again with 98five this year for Miracles Day to help provide sight to some of the world’s poorest people.” says Heath.
 
“We’re even more excited to take Morro and Kirste to Nepal to see the incredible work first hand. Together we can make miracles happen.”

Kirstie and Morro will arrive in Nepal ahead of Miracles Day to visit the local community.
