A riptide of a night as Vance Joy makes his return to Nova’s Red Room

Last night, Thursday October 23, Vance Joy made his return to Nova’s Red Room, lighting up Sydney’s Paddo Inn with an intimate performance for just 150 lucky guests. The evening featured fresh tracks and fan favourites with a who’s who of Nova also pulled in to the riptide.

Following a 2022 Brisbane Red Room set under the iconic neon glow, Vance opened at the Paddo with the heartfelt Mess is Mine, with a setlist of favourites that included Georgia, Saturday Sun, Divine Feelings, Fire and the Flood, and Fascination in the Dark. He wrapped the night with his chart-topping anthem Riptide, complete with a joyous audience sing-a-long.

The performance followed the release of his double A-side singles Divine Feelings and Fascination in the Dark, Vance’s first new music since 2022’s In Our Own Sweet Time and getting significant radio airplay and support here and overseas.

With over 10 billion streams, multiple gold and platinum certifications, and a resume that includes touring with Taylor Swift as well as headlining stages across the globe, Vance Joy continues to captivate audiences with his anthemic yet intimate sound. His Red Room performance was a warm-up for his next stop: Harvest Rock Festival in Adelaide on Saturday, October 25.
