Chadd will start in the role on Monday April 9. 

Toby Chadd has been appointed as the new Content Manager for ABC Classic FM and ABC Jazz. 

Chadd has a long history managing the ABC Classics and Jazz labels, and prior to this was at the Academy Of Ancient Music in the UK.

ABC’s Head of Music, Chris Scaddan, said: ‘Toby has actively worked with the Classic and Jazz content teams on many award-winning recording projects. 

‘He enjoys strong relationships with all of our external musical partners, orchestras and opera companies. He’s done some exceptional work to strengthen our key partnerships in his current role as Classic’s Development Manager, and I know he’ll achieve a very smooth transition into his new role.

‘I’d like to thank Matt Dewey for acting in the role for the past few months. There is no-one at ABC Classic FM who works harder across so many parts of the organisation and I’m glad that Matt can now put all his creative energy into his core role as Music Director. 

‘And of course, thanks again to Richard Buckham for his many years at the helm of ABC Classic FM. Our connection to Richard will continue as we collaborate with the ABC Arts team in 2018 and beyond.’
