Noongar Radio teams up with Footy Radio for WAFL

Saturday WAFL games live on 100.9FM.

The Noongar community is synonymous with some of the biggest names in AFL (including Winmar, Farmer and Rioli) and Saturday’s Western Australian Football League games have found a new home-ground at the studios of Perth’s 100.9FM Noongar Radio.

WA’s Footy Radio has teamed up with Noongar Radio to bring listeners all the WAFL action, with the Footy Radio’s Tom Tapping and Cameron Spragg calling the games alongside the Noongar Radio sports team.

Noongar Radio Station Manager Paul Whitton says, “Noongars have long been associated with WAFL. It’s great we now have Noongar Radio up front in the action.”

100.9FM Noongar Radio is Perth’s only Aboriginal radio station, was runner-up as NAIDOC Perth Business of the Year 2016 and 2017, winner of two 2017 CBAA Awards and has been described on the floor of Western Australian parliament as “an awesome radio station”.
