ABC Classic is doubling its number of concert broadcasts, with the reintroduction of one concert each night, from Monday to Friday, as part of Joel Carnegie‘s Evenings program.
There’ll be more live performances from concert partners pairing to promote upcoming classical music performances from around the country and internationally.
Manager of ABC Classic and Jazz, Kat McGuffie said:
“We’re thrilled to be doubling our number of concert broadcasts, as we reintroduce concerts to our Evenings program.
We’ll continue to bring direct live broadcasts from key events in classical arena around the nation and take listeners to the world’s great concert halls on Lunchtime Concert. The addition of concerts on Evenings marks another step towards ABC Classic being an even louder champion of live music and reinforces our commitment to showcasing Australian music makers as Australia’s home of classical music.”
Listeners can tune in to hear the finest live performances from 8pm Monday through Friday or anytime on the ABC Listen app, like the recent Simon Halsey conducted Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and TSO Chorus performing Haydn’s Harmony Mass (main picture) which was broadcast live from Hobart.
