The ABC are on the road getting ready to broadcast for one week from Toowoomba and its surrounds. Taking with them, Q & A, ABC News Breakfast, Radio National, Local Radio, Costa plus a host of other ABC characters, friends and family ABC is putting a national spotlight on the Darling Downs.
From Monday, October 26 to Sunday November 1, ABC listeners can join studio audiences, see live TV and Radio broadcasts, as well as meet and greet the presenters and producers behind the shows.
ABC local radio Queensland evenings will be doing a live broadcast in the Empire Church Theatre. Locals can join host, David Curnow from 7pm – 10pm for a fun-filled night focused on the Darling Downs.
A special of The Moral Compass will put a spotlight on significant regional stories. Host Geraldine Doogue will be joined by four locals to discuss: Social cohesion or cultural collision? What we can learn from Toowoomba’s refugee experience.
