AFTRS Radio Content and Program Directors course is now enrolling

The online course is designed for those working in the industry.


AFTRS is calling for those working in commercial or community radio seeking to step up into management, content and programming roles.

Specifically designed for those working in the industry and with flexible delivery, the course starts March 9, with a discount rate of $2880 for enrolments prior to Feb 8.

  • LEARNING AND LEADERSHIP – leadership vs management, learning styles, successful collaborative broadcasting and understanding codes and compliance
  • BUILDING TEAMS, BRANDS AND EMPIRES – brand awareness and marketing, understanding what motivates people, harnessing talent and empire building
  • TACTICAL PROGRAMMING – understanding the business of radio, show development and evolution, monitoring and maintenance and designing strategies for success 

The course is facilitated by Fyona Smith, AFTRS Head of Radio, and brings together students and industry experts from around world, in regular video chats and a weekend residential.
