AFTRS Students are ready for work placement at your station

It’s a wrap for AFTRS FM, the third pop-up radio station for Advanced Diploma of Radio students at AFTRS

As the year progresses, students in the Australian Film Television and Radio School flagship course have taken on more challenging and complex broadcast formats.

AFTRS FM has been their news, current affairs and talk broadcast and each and every student has risen to this challenge and produced exceptional content, both on air and for digital and social.

Work placements are being arranged right now, and all 21 students are looking for opportunities to learn and grow in their final week of the course – Monday, November 2 to Friday, November 6.

AFTRS Head of Radio Lisa Sweeney says this year’s students are already in high demand from industry.

“Several students are already working part time in great industry jobs, and many have secured perfect work placements due to their performance,” Lisa says.

“We’d love to hear from stations which are willing to take AFTRS students for a week of intensive and highly practical experience.”

You can hear the final hours of the broadcast here  Or check out their amazing digital and social content here
