Albury councillor Kylie King to depart 2AY breakfast

Kylie King, an Albury councillor as well as breakfast co-host of 2AY breakfast with Matt Griffith, will leave her radio role at the end of this year with her contract not renewed by the ACE Radio Network for 2025.

Matt will host the show solo. Kylie had been on breakfast on 2AY for nearly six years as well as acting as a Motorsport Reporter for 3NE.

Kylie’s story is an extraordinary one. Before Matt Griffith, Kylie hosted breakfast with Kev Poulton. They both decided to run for the local council with both successful with Kylie (while still hosting breakfast all the while) becoming Mayor of Albury and Kev the Mayor of Wodonga. Kev left 2AY at that time.

In October Kevin Mack was re-elected Mayor of Albury with Kylie remaining a counsellor. Her last day on breakfast is December 20 and she will still remain involved with the ACE Radio Network.

Jake Tracey moves to new Mornings gig at Hit 99.5 Sunraysia
